Sustainable Production
Sustainability, in the simplest terms, means meeting the needs of present time without compromising from the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
As a producer in the automotive industry, we are ourselves generating our own energy in our factories to a certain degree, and striving to use this in-house energy in the most efficient way possible. To contribute to the efforts of protection of natural environment, we adopt an environment-friendly production approach and develop projects to minimize our carbon footprint. To nurture future generations, we support their education via equipment donations and scholarship opportunities.
A Factory, Generating Its Own Energy with SPP
There is a 1.2 mwh SPP (Solar Power Plant) installed on the roof of the Steering, Suspension and Hydraulic Parts Factory. With a total investment of 675,000 Euro, it is calculated that SPP will recover its investment costs in 4.5-5 years. According to calculations, this plant will meet 53% of total energy requirement of our factory.
Vocational Schools Get Stronger with ADMOG
Since 2018, we are a part of ADMOG (Don't Throw But Donate, Let Vocational Schools Get Stronger) project organized by TAYSAD (Association of Automotive Parts and Components Manufacturers). Thanks to this project, we are donating 50 - 100 individual equipment and materials to the local schools every year. We are proud of being a part of this project to nurture the future generations.
Environment Friendly Waste Management
All our processes have been evaluated in terms of environmental aspects, as a result of which necessary actions have been taken, effectively minimizing the environmental impact. Our processes uses environmental-friendly technologies as practicable as possible, minimizing the quantity of the waste. With our environment policy, we are keeping up with changes to legislation and other requirements, and putting necessary actions in place. Our company has made necessary reporting, analyses and measurements, as required by the relevant regulations, as a result of which no non-conformity has been found. We are organizing training sessions to raise environmental awareness of our personnel. Thanks to these trainings, we are achieving reduction in consumption of natural resources and energy as well as reduced waste generation, and ensuring a correct sorting of the waste at the origin. We are managing our waste as indicated in the table.
Smart Energy Applications in Lighting, Heating and Cooling
We are improving both energy consumption and personnel comfort via regular replacement of the lights in our factories. As part of smart energy applications, we are further reducing energy consumption by turning off the lights in the production areas during off-hours. Also, we achieve further reduction in the energy consumption thanks to the smart heating and cooling systems in production and administrative areas.
With Digitalization, we are reducing our carbon footprint.
We aim at a paper-free management of our entire processes with the digitalization projects we launched. For this purpose, we are step-by-step migrating paper-based processes to the digital platform, reducing our carbon footprint.
Equal Opportunity in Education with Scholarships
Since 2000, our company have been contributing to the education of disadvantaged students by giving them scholarships. Every year, we are contributing to the education of 30 to 40 middle-high school and university students. With our scholarships, we aim at ensuring equal educational opportunities for the benefit of disadvantaged students.
